1
From the MailWasher Server home page menu, select Real-time blackhole lists under System Configuration. The System Configuration - Real-time blackhole list services page displays.
2
Click the Add new service link at the bottom of the table. The Create RBL service page displays.
3
Enter the name of this RBL service in the Service name field. This is the name that will be displayed in list of the RBL services, and is not used by MailWasher Server itself.
4
Select the appropriate RBL service type in the Server type field.
See Real-time blackhole list services overview to find out what the different types of RBL are and how they work.
5
Enter the lookup domain suffix for this RBL service in the Domain name field.
Most RBL operators use a special subdomain for their RBL service. You must enter this domain name in this field - not the address of the RBL's website.
6
Select the action you would like MailWasher Server to take on incoming messages from servers or domains listed in this RBL, in the Action on match field.
See Message processing actions for an explanation of the options.
If you do not want users to be able to rescue messages blocked because of this RBL, uncheck the Allow rescue checkbox. Note that it is strongly recommended that you allow users to rescue messages from RBLs as many suffer from false positives.
7
Click to add the RBL service. The Real-time blackhole list services page displays, showing the new RBL service.
Note that the RBL service has now been added, but has not yet been activated. See How to activate a real-time blackhole list (RBL) service to find out how to make MailWasher Server use this RBL.
