The purpose of this task is to make MailWasher Server check incoming messages against a particular real-time blackhole list (RBL).
See Real-time blackhole list services overview to find out what RBLs are and how the different types of RBL services work.
RBL services are run by third parties unaffiliated to Firetrust Limited. Each RBL lists servers or domains based on it's own policy, so you should carefully evaluate the RBL to ensure it matches your needs. Please note that Firetrust Limited makes no representation, warranty or guarantee as to the reliability or efficacy of third-party RBL services.

Complete the following steps to activate a new RBL service.

From the MailWasher Server home page menu, select Real-time blackhole lists under System Configuration. The System Configuration - Real-time blackhole list services page displays.

Check that the RBL service you want to use is listed in the table. If not, see How to add a real-time blackhole list (RBL) service.
If the checkbox next to the service name is checked, then MailWasher Server is already using this RBL.
If not, select the checkbox, and click at the bottom of the page.

MailWasher Server performs a brief test to see if it can communicate with the RBL and to check that it appears to work correctly. If the test fails, an error message explaining the problem displays.
Otherwise, MailWasher Server activates the RBL and the System Configuration - Real-time blackhole list services page displays, showing the now-activated RBL service.
This task is now complete.
