A must read

If you want to avoid being scammed, but feel you aren't sure of all the warning signs, then I highly suggest you check out the Little black book of scams.

This is a publication written by the ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission), and whilst it is written specifically for their Australian audience, it relates to all of us as these scams are global.

It is provided in PDF format, so if you are unable to open this file then you will need either Adobe Reader or FoxIt Reader. Both are free, FoxIt Reader is more compact than Adobe Reader, and is my personal preference.

If you felt you gained some knowledge from reading this, then it would also be worth to send it on to friends and family. The more people that are aware of the different kinds of scams, the more likely it is that they themselves, or their friends or family will become victims.

You can check out the ACCC web page regarding this publication here

It's on the scam list. 99.9999% of these places are scams. Just forget it, save your money.
